Yannis Adoniou

Yannis Adoniou, is award-winning dancer, choreographer, filmmaker and the artistic director of Kunst-Stoff Dance Company in San Francisco. Yannis was a dancer with the Osnabruck National Dance Theater, the Bonn State Ballett, San Francisco Opera Ballet, Alonzo Kings Lines Contemporary Ballet, Complexions in New York, ProsXima in Athens Greece, Unterwegs Theater in Heidelberg, Germany and Sara Shelton Manns Contraband. Yannis was nominated twice for the Isadora Duncan Awards, winning an Izzy in 1998 for outstanding achievement in performance. His choreography has been hailed by critics as some of the most original dance or drama San Francisco Chronicle, multy-focused, ever-shifting work in witch the viewer imposed his own perspective.

Yannis is DTI's resident choreographer. He is blessed with the gift of working with the youth, positively challenging them to reach their personal best while giving completely, without judgements and trusting their endless capabilities.
