Juliet Smith

Juliet Smith studied under Paula Valentine and continued her training at various schools including the schools of San Jose Cleveland Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet. She received her B.A. in Dance Education on full scholarship from Santa Clara University and is also a member of the Royal Academy of Dance. Ms. Smith was the founder of the South Valley Ballet and the past director of the Morgan Hill Dance Center. She has danced professionally in both classical and modern ballet. Her favorite roles include the Sugar Plum Fairy and Arabian Princess in The Nutcracker, Lise in La Fille Mal Gardee, and Lark in Ascending. Juliet has choreographed for several schools and performing companies. Ms. Smith was chosen to be Teacher of the Week by the San Jose Mercury News and was nominated Educator of the Year in her hometown. She currently participates in liturgical modern dance works under Kristin Kusanovich and teaches for DTI.
